Telling us what kind of place you are

Updated 2 September 2026

Profile has one question near the top — "What kind of place is this?" — with eleven answers: Restaurant, Cafe, Coffee Shop, Bakery, Juice Bar, Ice Cream Shop, Fine Dining, Fast Food, Catering, Franchise and Hotel.

It changes what your menu editor offers FIRST. Nothing is ever hidden. An ice cream shop sees Scoops, Cone or cup, Flavours and Toppings at the top; a juice bar sees sugar and ice levels, boosters and detox blends; a coffee shop sees roast, origin and brew method; fine dining sees wine pairing, sommelier notes, dress code and the story behind a dish; fast food sees combo builders and meal customisation; catering sees packages priced per guest; a hotel sees outlets, room numbers and a concierge.

Everything else simply moves further down the list. A cafe that starts selling ice cream does not need to change anything — the ice cream options are already there, a little further down.

You can change your answer whenever you like, and it never changes the menu your diners see.
