A membership is a club you sell from your menu: a coffee club, a bean box, a bread subscription.
IMPORTANT: this advertises your plan and collects everyone interested. It does not charge anybody's card. You take payment however you already do.
That is deliberate. Charging cards automatically would mean holding your customers' card details and following the rules around recurring payments. This way you can start selling today, and you keep the payment arrangement you already have with your regulars.
Setting one up: 1. Open Memberships in the dashboard. 2. Give it a name, a price and how often it renews: weekly, monthly or quarterly. 3. List what a member gets, one line per benefit ("2 bags of beans a month", "Free filter coffee in store"). 4. Add your cancellation terms in your own words. 5. Save. It appears behind the More button on your menu.
When a diner taps "Join" the request arrives on your Memberships page — its own inbox, with the plan they asked for. Letting them in makes them a member on the same engine the counter uses, and emails them a membership card with your logo and colours on it.
It used to land in your catering inbox and be answered like a quote, which made no sense for something whose price is printed on your menu. It has not worked that way since August 2026.
